Miss Burwell Rodeo – Mandi
Who would have thought that a month or two into my photography escapade, I’d be contacted by a rodeo queen requesting a photo shoot?! Well, it does help that we lived on the same floor my freshman year of college, and we share a lot of the same friends. But still, going into this session I was completely pumped.
The story behind the session is this: most rodeo queens not only have a traveling crown, but also traveling chaps. For whatever reason, the Burwell rodeo queen only had the crown (which actually sits on their cowboy hat!). Mandi decided the Burwell queens should have chaps just like all the other girls, so she designed them and raised the funds. The result: fabulous.
Mandi has raised the bar for the rodeo queens. I challenge other queens/contestants to follow suit.
